Moonlight in daylight

These pictures were taken tonight just before sunset.  I still think it is odd to see the moon during the day even though I have seen it many times.  Tonight though I was fascinated by the moon being on the horizon and the clouds were creating interesting shadows on the moon.
For some reason It reminded me of the children's poem Bed in Summer by Robert Louis Stevenson.  Don't know why exactly, maybe because it seems odd to see the moon in the day to me, much like the child's question in this poem.
Robert Louis Stevenson
Bed in Summer
In winter I get up at night
And dress by yellow candle-light.
In summer quite the other way,
I have to go to bed by day.

I have to go to bed and see
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up people's feet
Still going past me in the street.

And does it not seem hard to you,
When all the sky is clear and blue,
And I should like so much to play,
To have to go to bed by day?

Another  Moonlight in Daylight photo taken tonight.

Have a good evening and good night

Enjoy

Oh, you just took my breath away.;)
This brings back an unforgettable moment in time this past Saturday, as I was walking with my man hand in hand to a nearby restaurant, on a chilly evening and we saw this big moon hoovering in the pristine sky, very much like your pictures show, while the sun was setting in the opposite cardinal direction...

Funny, but I think the moon is most lovely when it shows up before darkness falls... My little grandbaby just turned 2 will always spot the moon in the daylight hours and is just so excited to share it....! Look the moon, the moon gramma!!!!

Love the moon, it's so peaceful and comforting. Provides a bit of light in the dark.
