Broken
Woke up this morning and couldn't go back to sleep; one of of the things that I do to help me when this happens is to listen to music. Quite often it is New Age or Classical because they tend to be smooth with no vocals. For this reason I also occasionally listen to smooth jazz. Lately however I have started to listen to hymns with the words and I find that this helps carry the calmness throughout my day as the words come back into my mind. I have the hymns from our hymnbook on CD and put it on my 5 CD player and hit repeat all and listen all night. A couple of weeks ago I discovered an Internet radio station http://www.yldsr.com/ that plays hymns, contemporary inspirational music and now Christmas music and you can choose which type you would prefer to listen to. Right now 'Amazing Grace' is playing but when I first got up and started to listen one of my favorite contemporary songs was on and it kept going through my mind even with other songs playing so I decided to share it with you and I was surprised and delighted to find a video version on you-tube. I hope you will listen and it will touch your spirit as it touches mine.

Sleep study
I had a sleep study done at the hospital last night. They hook you up to all these wires, every wire that you see is connected to me somewhere, then they hook you up to these machines and put a mask on your face and THEN they expect you to sleep. Amazingly you do sleep, in my case better than at home. Rat's when you go in for medical tests you want them to show what is wrong and to get your money's worth and this test is expensive. Actually sleeping better does show them what is wrong because one of the things they do is use a CPAP machine and if that helps you sleep better it indicates sleep apnea. They try different air pressures during the night to see what pressure works best. I'm guessing that since I slept better there was a change in pressure which means I'll have to take my machine down to have it recalibrated. Hopefully this will mean less sleeping time and more wide awake functioning time. This has been one of my biggest frustrations of late so maybe I'll have one more improvement in my life. Hooray!!!

Time to take care of myself ---ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
I have been doing so well at blogging before I go to bed it is getting close to being a habit. YES! Even though I do not feel well and have cut way back on what I've done today. Tom heated up a can of soup for me for dinner and I had soup and crackers and that was more than fine with me. I've slept most of the day. It is not a luxury but a necessity today. I am here at the computer to keep the momentum going and because writing the blog really does make me feel better. I have a feeling that if something is not posted here everyday it would be a good bet that I would be in the hospital were I would have no Internet access. Anyway I picked out one of my favorite older pictures that makes me smile to post and since I've slept most of the day it is also appropriate.
